The Workflows and Distributed Computing Group of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center is proud to announce the new release 1.4 of COMPSs. This release updates COMPSs with a series of features particularly regarding Runtime like added support for Docker; added support for Chameleon Cloud; Object cache for persistent workers; improved error management and added connector for submitting tasks to MN supercomputer from external COMPSs applications and Tools like Enhanced Tracing mechanism; reduced overhead using native Java API; added support for communications instrumentation and added support for PAPI hardware counters.
COMPSs is at the basis of the programming layer that EUBra-BIGSEA will build up in order to allow the development of BIG Data applications for its use case in the area of Connected Societies as well as beyond. To find out more please visit: http://www.eubra-bigsea.eu/programming-models
